Hello all!

I am a forum newbie here, and have not yet had anything to contribute, so I've just lurked.

This a.m. I got a PM from Al asking about contributions, so here we go.

We are building a new house about 3 miles up the road, and I am dedicating most of the approximately 20x40 walk-out/drive-out basement to my shop.

It currently is in drywall/texture, and that's all. We've put on one coat of primer, and today I am finishing the trim -- doors and baseboard.

So, wait for it, and as I progress, to setting up shop, I'll keep you posted.

Hey Doug - welcome to the site - your shop space looks great - keep posting photos so we can see what your doing. Always nice to see what someone else has in mind for a shop - but how come its not filled up with stuff like most of the construction area are?

Funny you should ask! The door you see on the right? That leads to a 15x30 garage bay. An identical garage is on the left side, with another door in front of the steps leading down from upstairs.

This past week, we moved everything out of storage, into the two garage bays. We had finished the garages first, so we could store everything there, instead of in the paid storage units. Next, we will finish (painting, trim, electrical fixtures and lights) the shop area so I can begin setting it up to be able to use tools to finish the house itself, upstairs.

I am excited to get to this point, after about three years of construction, and will be happy to post updates here!
